Patricia’s of Holmdel First Annual Meatball Eating Contest

On August 23, 2026, Patricia’s of Holmdel brought the community together for its First Annual Meatball Eating Contest, presented alongside Best Restaurants NJ. The afternoon featured music, giveaways, plenty of Patricia’s famous Italian food, and contestants battling for a $500 grand prize.

At the center of Patricia’s is owner Frank “Frankie” Brusco, who opened the Holmdel restaurant in 2015 with a focus on classic Italian cuisine inspired by the recipes, traditions, and hospitality he grew up around. What started with Patricia’s has since grown into a collection of successful restaurant concepts, while Brusco has remained focused on creating places built around great food, service, and community.

Class Kills supplied DJ Frankie Sauce to DJ and host the afternoon, keeping the crowd involved and guiding the competitors through the contest. When the meatballs finally stopped flying, Dennis Brown claimed first place and the $500 prize, finishing with 23 meatballs before eating another 10 during overtime to earn the win.
