FAQ
Repair Questions, Answered
Shipping your gear in, warranty claims, and what happens once it reaches the bench. For the full mail-in procedure see our shipping instructions.
- Can I ship my equipment instead of dropping it off?
- Yes. Ship via UPS or FedEx Express only — do not use FedEx Ground — and choose a service level appropriate for the value of your equipment. Customers are responsible for inbound shipping. Send it to Class Kills LLC, 1 Industrial Way W, Bldg. E Ste. C, Eatontown, NJ 07724. Full instructions are at repair.classkills.com/faq.
- How should I pack my gear for shipping?
- Use proper cushioning and protection to prevent transit damage, and remove loose accessories unless they relate directly to the issue. Class Kills is not responsible for damage that occurs during inbound shipping, so pack for the worst case and insure the shipment to its value.
- What if I'm shipping my gear in a locked case?
- Use a combination lock only — not a keyed lock — and email the combination to repairs@classkills.com before it arrives. A missing lock combination may delay or prevent service, because we cannot open the case to reach the equipment.
- My unit is still under warranty. What should I do first?
- For AlphaTheta and Pioneer DJ warranty work, start your claim at repair.pioneerdj.com before shipping anything. Note that the manufacturer warranty does not cover liquid or physical damage, and Pioneer requires the original packaging — if you no longer have it, contact Pioneer directly for guidance. When a repair is approved under warranty, return shipping is covered by Pioneer / AlphaTheta.
- What brands and models do you service?
- We are a Pioneer DJ and AlphaTheta Authorized Service Company, so Pioneer players (CDJs) and mixers and controllers such as the DJM-A9, DJM-V10, DJM-900 and DDJ range are our core work. We service other DJ equipment too — confirm your brand and model with us before sending anything in.
- What happens once you have my equipment?
- It is checked in and matched to your repair order, then the repair team runs diagnostics. You receive the findings and, where the work goes beyond the bench fee, a formal quote. Repair work begins only after you approve it, except where warranty policy thresholds already cover it.
- What does the bench fee cover, and when do I pay more?
- The bench fee covers diagnostics and the initial labor — up to 45 minutes on a standard repair, or up to an hour for a liquid or damage diagnostic. Any additional time is billed at the hourly labor rate in 15-minute increments, and additional work or parts are quoted for your approval first. Repairs under $200 are typically completed during diagnostics so there is no approval delay.
- How do I get my equipment back?
- Return shipping is added as a line item on your final invoice. That invoice must be paid in full before the equipment ships back, and tracking is provided once payment clears and the shipment is released. Local customers can collect from the Eatontown shop instead.

What Our Clients Say

Best DJ equipment store and repair shop not only in NJ but the country! I recently reached out to the Class Kills team for an upgrade to my current controller. I was able to try out different controllers in their showroom and select the new Pioneer AZ which was a great fit for all my DJ needs as a night club and mobile DJ!
I have had multiple controllers and speakers repaired with fast turn around!
One stop shop for all your DJ needs!
Class kills were extremely helpful in fixing my mixer. From explaining everything they did, to helping me test out my equipment, I couldn't recommend them enough!! also if you are looking for equipment rentals they have an amazing selection, with fairly reasonable pricing. Will be back !!!
Probably the best "authorized" repair shop experience on the east coast. Staff and service could not have been any better. They were very open and communicative through the whole process which kept me in the loop about exactly what was going on. Jacky was the one dealing with my repair and made the process super easy. If you need a place to send your gear I highly recommend this team!!!
