Class Kills welcomed Cliff Barkalow, Sales Manager, and Ken Romaine, Lighting Sales Manager at Sigmet Corp, for a one-hour, hands-on Martin lighting demo.

Thank you to Clif and Ken for bringing over four exciting Martin fixtures for our team to explore: the MAC Viper XIP, MAC Aura XIP, MAC One, and ELP PAR.

The session was more than a product walkthrough. It gave our team a chance to look closely at the details production people care about—output, optics, color, control, fixture weight, weather rating, and the visual eye candy that makes a lighting design stand out in the room and on camera.

Martin MAC Viper XIP

The MAC Viper XIP is a high-output moving-head profile built for big looks, gobos, framing, aerial effects, texture, and precision. It is a fixture worth considering when a design needs punch, flexibility, and controlled beam shaping.

Its IP54 wet-location rating also makes it relevant for temporary outdoor production where weather planning is part of the job.

Martin MAC Aura XIP

The MAC Aura XIP combines a moving RGBW wash with pixel-controlled Aura effects. It can provide useful wash coverage while also bringing the kind of layered, animated eye candy that gives a rig more depth.

For designers and production teams, it is a strong option when the brief calls for both functional coverage and a fixture that looks great on camera.

Martin MAC One

The compact MAC One is an indoor BeamWash with a Fresnel lens, RGBL engine, zoom flexibility, and a 24-pixel RGB backlight. Its small size makes it especially interesting for tighter rigs, visual arrays, and designs where fixture weight and density matter.

It is a practical production tool that can still add visual interest when the fixture itself becomes part of the look.

Martin ELP PAR

The ELP PAR is an indoor, IP20 static RGBW LED PAR that can serve as a flexible wash, key light, accent fixture, or scenic-color tool. It brings zoom and color-temperature flexibility to applications that need dependable coverage without adding a moving fixture.

One important detail for production teams: this is the indoor ELP PAR model, not the separate ELP PAR IP fixture. That distinction matters when planning for outdoor work.

What We’re Looking At for Future Inventory

Class Kills and My Vibrant Events are evaluating these Martin fixtures for potential future use in event production and rentals. The goal is to keep building lighting options that can do more than look impressive on paper—they need to work for real crews, real schedules, real rooms, and real client expectations.
